Where I live

Although it took me almost two weeks, I am finally completely unpacked and semi-organized.  I am staying in student housing called Opal, but instead of having dorms I have a little flat here.  I have my own room with toilet and shower, and then I share a kitchen and living room area with 5 other people.  That has 2 refrigerators, a microwave, oven, toaster, and a dishwashing area.  We also have a kitchen table with chairs and 6 chairs to watch TV in.  What I thought was interesting is that the school provided us with a TV for the flat with cable included.  Also, electric kettles are provided in all of the flats because tea is so popular here.

I live with 4 boys and 1 other girl. This is my first time living with boys and so far, so good.  The other girl is an exchange student from Spain who speaks great English.  The boys are all from different parts of England.  As a flat we all get a long very well and I am excited for the upcoming semester!  I put some pictures of the flat below!

I really need to get some type of wall decorations, its so white!

This was taken from one of my friends rooms, it looks out onto the front side of the building, I head up the stairs and to the right by the red car to get into the city centre where all of my classes are.

  1. Have a wonderful time in North Yorkshire today. Love all the details of the day to day stuff in your posts - I hope you realize that this is all scrapbook worthy.
